Civilizations of Tantura

Kingdom of Eden ‘The Ivory Throne’:

The modern age of Eden is formed from the precursor nation of Aedon. Not much is known of Aedon, most of the evidence of their existence has been lost to time. The Umbra Academy historians have made it publicly known that civilized life existed across Tantura before a conflict erupted and lead to the collapse of what are commonly referred to as ‘The Precursors’. What is unknown is by who, and why was this conflict fought? There is so little evidence that remains outside of some ancient structures in Edenlorn and Morenhal.

The Royal Family, Daelen has been in power for 600 years. Generation’s of a human family that has utilized it’s partnership with Morenhal to bend the people of Eden to their will for centuries. In return, the people of Eden get a life of relative order and peace. The current king, King Conleath Daelen is a young and ambitious King who has taken the dream of his father to colonize the west and has tightened his tyrannical grip on the colonies to make them serve the cities of the east. Larger tithes, resources and peoples have been taken from the colonies, which before Conleath’s reign, were seen as an escape to relative freedom from the conflicts of old Tantura.

Kadeinian Republic:

The Kadeinian Republic is a nation of rebels. What once started as a city ravaged with crime and anarchy in the east eventually became organized. Gang’s became Mob’s, Mob’s became Cartels, and Cartel’s became a government. Kadeina is the first and only successful rebellion in Eden’s history. This lead has to some of the largest and bloodiest wars across Tantura. Kadeina operates as an Oligarchy of sorts. A small council of wealthy and powerful individuals known as ‘The Commission’ lead the charge.

While Kadeina stand’s against the tyrannical strength of Eden, they are by no mean’s a nation of “Great Liberators”. This is a civilization born of criminality and corruption. The members of the Commission are often kept as a state secret due to the excessive number of coup de tat’s and assassinations that have happened over this countries past. A position known as the Herald passes the word of the council to it’s subordinates and citizens. The one thing every Kadeinian citizen or leader can agree on, is Eden is their enemy, forever and always. A deep seeded hatred rests at the heart of every citizen because of the long and bloody conflicts that have effected almost every generation since this nations inception. Within the Kadeinian borders is a land where the strong survive. A harsh environment where the rule of law is subject to the mood of the ‘Branded’, Kadeinas peacekeepers and soldiers. Every citizen who serves the nation in an official capacity is given a brand of the Kadeinian sigil.

The Lucal Assembly:

The Lucal Assembly is a magocracy that was once a part of a the city state of Caitha. Lucal was the name of the flying city the wizards of Caitha had constructed. When the undead hordes of Eden were battering through the Caithan defenses. The leader’s of Caitha fled atop Lucal. Bringing with them only the most talented and powerful amongst them. The city of Lucal drifted south, using it’s natural defense of flight to escape.

The Lucal Assembly is a council of powerful wizards that have taken charge of the city of Lucal. The flying city, after it’s abrupt take to the skies has been drifting for centuries, having never returned to the ground since it’s first ascension. The Lucal Assembly in the modern world is an extremely powerful player across Tantura. However, the Assembly has remained committed to a charter of isolationism. Being very careful to not involve itself too much the affairs of those on the ground. Engaging in light trade with Kadeina for the essentials they cannot get themselves.
